Hi, I’m Jackie!
LPC-S, RYT-200
I’m so glad you’re here!
Seeking therapy is a sign of inner strength and willingness to work on issues that can be overwhelming to face alone. I honor your strength in seeking counseling services and am here to support you on your path to better understanding your story and identity while continuing to practice self-compassion and self-awareness.
A bit about me…
I am a licensed mental health counselor & registered yoga teacher serving the Tulsa area and surrounding communities. I am honored for the opportunity to serve adolescents, teens, and adults on their journeys towards reclaiming their life balance, rhythm and direction.
I received my bachelor’s of science degree at University of Florida in general psychology in 2004 and my master’s of science degree at Northeastern State University in counseling psychology in 2012. I have held my license as a professional counselor since 2016. I worked at the Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) for 10 years as a clinician administering mental health evaluations for youth in state custody. I have worked in community mental health and have experience as a school counselor. I love all animals, enjoy camping, learning new things, spending time with my friends and family, and practicing yoga & meditation.
My goal for your treatment…
I hope to support your individual healing in the most authentic, personal way for you- because I understand we’re all different. I believe that together we can find the tools to help you grow stronger while weathering any storm. We will discuss, in detail, any techniques you would like to try so that we are both well informed and there are no surprises.
My ultimate goal for your therapy is to empower you to experience healing through psychotherapy, breath work, yoga, and any other mindfulness modalities to which you may feel drawn. Healing lies in vulnerability. Vulnerability is expressed through sharing your emotions, talking through setbacks, understanding your own needs, and trusting yourself enough to listen… to yourself and others.
Not into yoga or mindfulness? That’s okay! We will work together to acknowledge the past and anticipate the future—while accepting gratitude in the present moment.
This is Bernadette and she will be a therapy dog…some day. She is willing to occasionally come to sessions for additional support upon request.
